The group ended the year with a well attended circular walk from Trowell Garden Centre to Trowell Moor and back along the Erewash Canal. It was slightly longer than our usual 2 miles but no one complained and we welcomed being out in the fresh air and the opportunity to walk off some of the Christmas excess.

We have since circumnavigated West Park in Long Eaton and more recently a slightly longer walk commencing at Attenborough Nature Reserves to Trent Meadows.

We walk on the first and third Wednesday of the month using the bus, tram, river and canal systems to get us around the local area. We generally walk for approximately 1½ – 2 hours with a stop for coffee en route.
