Membership Renewal

Membership of Beeston U3A now runs from 1st April to 31st March each year, which means that our membership year now corresponds to our financial year. This will make our accounting records easier to match up with the income from membership subscriptions, and the accounts which are kept by each of our interest groups.

Renewals will be available from 1st January 2019 for the year April 2019 to March 2020. The full subscription fee for the year will be £15. All our current members will have a membership card which is pre-printed with your name and membership number. This card will be your receipt for payment.

We have three classes of membership:

Individual – A full member of Beeston U3A. £15.
Associate – Full Member of another U3A, the name of your main U3A will need to be provided. £11:50.
Cluster Group member – The name of you U3A will need to be provided. No charge.

There are three ways of renewing your membership:

1. Online renewal
To save you queuing to renew your membership at the open meeting this year, you will be able to renew your membership online through our Beacon software (U3A supported). You need to use the Members’ portal, where you identify yourself with your personal details including your membership number and email address to confirm your identity.

One of the options is to renew your membership using the PayPal system.

You DO NOT need to have an account with PayPal to use the system. PayPal will take the payment on behalf of other payment cards, debit or credit. PayPal will send an email to confirm your payment to you and advise the Membership Secretary through the Beacon system.

Access the members’ portal to renew by clicking this link.

You can then print your membership card yourself or it can be collected at the Open Meeting in the church hall at the signing in desk.

2. Open meeting

Membership renewals will be taken at the Open Meeting on the first Thursday of each month beginning in January. Payment can be made by cheque or cash and your membership card will be issued as your receipt of payment

3. By Post

If you cannot attend the monthly open meeting, you may renew your membership by sending your cheque made out to Beeston U3A to:

The Membership Secretary, Beeston Methodist Church, Chilwell Road, Beeston, Nottingham NG9 1EH.

You must include a stamped addressed envelope so that your membership card may be returned to you.

If you previously have been a member and your membership has now lapsed, you will not be able to use this portal. Please contact the Membership Secretary at membership@beestonu3a.org.uk as your record may still be available on the Beacon system.
